I am so smart! S-M-R-T!  
Last night I loaded Ubuntu Linux on my computer. Now it is dead.
"Error loading operating system"
"GRUB error 21"
Looks like it is time to re format... and start over. Or at least that is what others with the same problems have done.

Most of my people aren't any more technical than I, but if you got any advise I love some.

Poor music, pictures, other stuff I can't get back... Damn it. I need a way to fix this.

Sounds like you need more GRUBs.

Also, some method of getting around the system load to finish setting up linux. If it lets you get to DOS try starting windows from there and re-installing. At some point during the start-up routine there should be a way to fiddle with the settings, that might help you too.

How far into the start-up do you get?

Update: Both operating systems are up and running now... the computer elf must of fixed it over night.

That aside, you should have called Paul Hanson. He's a pretty big Linux nut. And, provided you haven't altered the hard drive, it's still possible to retrieve your data. I shouldn't be up this late.

Since you don't have a facebook account you might not know about this. O Dec 22 8-11 there is supposed to be an unofficial GTCHS reunion in downtown Greenville. You should come. But first get a damn facebook account so I can stalk you like everyone else.
